This is a very solid Bordeaux red, displaying a good cocoa-tinged frame to the flavors at its core, including notes of crushed plum, cassis and mulled spice. The finish, which is long and velvety, shows nicely integrated grip as well. Drink now through 2017.
92 - James Suckling
This shows a solid core of dark fruits such as blueberries and blackberries, with hints of flowers. Full body, with a fine tannin structure and a clean finish. Give it time. Try in 2017.

Histoire du château
Château Brillette has inspired the passion and dedication of two wine-growing families over the past two centuries. It was owned and managed by several generations of Counts of Perier de Larsan, before Raymond Berthault, wine-lover and founder of two national food retail chains, succumbed to its charms in 1975. In 2001, his wife's grandson, Erwan Flageul, took over the reins of the estate that had served as the setting for many of his most tresasured childhood memories. Erwan is also co-CEO and partner of Seignouret Frères, a major Bordeaux wine negociant business founded in 1830.
