The history of the Château
The estate of Castera is one of the oldiest of the Medoc because it go back up to the middle age. Illustrous names testify in favour of Castera, like Thomas de Montaigne, the brother of the philisopher or the lord de La Boetie, who were two, of the most famous owners, Thanks to meticulous cares, the estate becomes one of the most in sight in the Medoc at the time of the Verthamon family (19th century). Since 1986, new owners have continued the renovation of the Chateau, the modernization of the cellars and the restructuring of the vineyard,
