Tasting Notes
91 - e-Parker
"Cru Bourgeois 2009 : The 90+ Wines : The Dutruch Grand Poujeaux 2009 has a refined, well delineated bouquet with freshness and vitality. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very harmonious with a composed finish demonstrating succinct use of oak and top-class winemaking. Bravo !. »
91 - Wein Welt
92 - Wine Enthusiast
BEST RATING IN MOULIS-EN-MÉDOC : 92. « Rich, the structure all a part of the ripe blackberry fruits, very dark in style. The wine is very ripe, still retaining elegance. »

One word to describe my wine

The history of the Château
Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux takes its name from Mr Dutruch, the proprietor who established the vineyard in about 1850. As the château’s name indicates, the vineyard is situated in Grand Poujeaux, a hamlet of Moulis-en-Médoc, well-known for the exceptional qualities of its terroirs. The vineyard of Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux is namely situated on the Garonne gravel's hill of Grand Poujeaux. François Cordonnier bought the wine estate in 1967. Since 1993, Jean-Baptiste Cordonnier, his nephew, continues with his wife Nathalie the work of his uncle. Château Dutruch Grand Poujeaux is regarded as a reference wine estate of the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation
