Winemaking
Use of stainless steel and ciment thermo-regulated tanks, Cold pre-fermentation maceration. Vatting lasts 4 to 5 weeks. A malolactic fermentation takes then place in tanks.
Ageing
Lees stirring for 3 months, aged for 12 months : 50% in one year old French oak barrel and 50% in tanks.
Harvests
Hand-picked, the grapes are sorted twice on arrival at the winery first on vibrating sorting tables and then manually

“The 2015 Château Greysac had a sense of airiness on the nose -lilting blackberry and briary aromas that perhaps needed a touch more vigour. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet, saturated entry, dense black fruit laced with black pepper that led to a grippy, but clean and fresh finish.”

The history of the Château
The destiny of Château Greysac has always hinged on inspired impulses. For over 40 years, its growth has been guided by enthusiastic captains of industry, aeronautics and luxury cars who all brought their breath of vision to the drive for quality and the development of the industry of the winery. Since 1975, it has been owned by the Agnelli family. Completely transformed, the development of the estate went from strength to strength. In 1982, Chateau Greysac joined the famous Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, renowned for setting the highest standards of quality. The winery newly established its reputation in 2003 with its widely acclaimed listing in the classification of the Crus Bourgeois Superieurs Such distinction, was the reward of decades of efforts geared to enhancing quality and innovation. The wines of Chateau Greysac, planted in an exceptional terroir situated on one of the finest gravel outcrops of the hamlet of By, produce a great, elegant and remarkably textured wine with full, opulent aromas.
