Tasting Notes
89/100 - eRoberParker Neal Martin Tasting Notes Cru Bourgeois 2010/London, September 2012
Tasted at the Crus Bourgeois 2010 tasting in London. The Haut Bellevue has a broody, tobacco and sous-bois scented bouquet with good definition, but it needs more vigour. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins, plenty of cedar and tobacco tinged black fruit, but a nicely balanced finish. This is very classic in style. Drink now-2018. Tasted September 2012.

The history of the Château
The history of this wine begins in 1890 in the village of Lamarque. In 1986 Alain ROSES, a fourth generation man of wine, takes over the management of this family estate. Newly-equipped modern vat room and barrel cellars are built in 1991. The estate’s vineyard is not forgotten in the modernisation as certain plots are re-planted and the grape varieties modified. Today Château Haut-Bellevue’s 16-hectare vineyard stretches over a gravelly slope near the Gironde river.
