Tasting Notes
16/20 - Jancis Robinson
21 Apr 2011 by JR 16 Thick and sweet. And thoroughly satisfying. Racy. Mid crimson. Good balance but not that intense. Good workmanlike stuff
90/100 - Neal Martin
This Cru Bourgeois ’09 has an archetypal tertiary bouquet that is subdued at first but opens nicely with aeration, although never aspires to be a powerful or showy bouquet. The palate is sweet and rounded on the entry, caressing in the mouth with good acidity and a gentle glide to a very satisfying, quite fleshy fresh strawberry finish. Lovely. Bravo!
16/20 - Decanter
Quite rich red fruits, good oak and quite a polished wine, good future. Drink 2014-20

My first wine memory
When I was young, tasting of juice in the cellar.

One word to describe my wine
Silky and dense

The history of the Château
Chartreuse of the XVIII th. Century surrounded by vineyards planted in the center of the gravellous plateau of Saint Estèphe, the Château Laffitte Carcasset is producing wine since 1790 when Sir Joseph Laffitte, attorney of the King of France, brought the domain and created the vineyard. In 1955, the viscount Pierre de Padirac purchased the property. Since then the vineyard has expanded and many technical improvements have been brought for a good breeding of the wine.

Food pairings for my wine
