92-95/100 - Wine Spectator
Dark color, with a spiced noseof cloves and cardamom. Tar too. Full-bodied, with round and velvety tannins and a rich, fruity aftertaste. Gorgeous young wine.

Dark red, well-extracted ripe fruit, spice, purity and length, good wine.

My first wine memory
The appellation Saint-Estèphe has a special meaning for Mr et Mrs Lorenzetti : Jacky Lorenzetti opened a famous Saint-Estèphe in order to ask if he could marry her.

The history of the Château
That's in 1564 that we've seen for the first time, in some registers, Château "La Doys" but we have to wait for the Barre family, in the XVIIIth Century, in order to be on the heights of fame. In 1850, Cocks & Féret included it among the top wines of Saint-estèphe. Affected by various crisis, the estate was divided during the XXth Century. Then the property was bought in 1989 by Lilian and Christian Thiéblot whose in honor of his wife added her name to the winery. In 2008, captivated, Françoise and Jacky Lorenzetti buy Château Lilian Ladouys with an ambition to work one's way up to the first places and to come back on top.

Food pairings for my wine
Recipe of eggs with foie gras and truffle : Take a ramekin, break an egg inside. Spray it with liquid full-cream, then lay on it a slice of duck foie-gras and sprinkle some chopped truffle. Roast if 10 or 15 mn according to your oven at a temperature of 180°C. Serve hot.
