Tasting Notes
- SOMMELIER International - Nelson Chow (President of Hong-Kong and China Sommeliers Ass.), Déc. 2017
(Vintage 2015) "Currant, tea leaves, nice berries in the nose. Big round fruit aromas. Tight tannins. Enjoyable now for the fruitiness.”
(Vintage 2014) "Barrel Sample. This wine has plenty of structure, showing firm, rough tannins with some extraction bitterness. Light fruit flavors are offered further levity from bright acidity.”
91/100 - Jeannie CHO LEE
(Vintage 2009) "Delicious Bordeaux that is drinking beautifully now. Enjoy the classic cassis and dark fruit flavors with hint of cedar. Drink now and over the next 6 to 8 years. Tasted in: Hong Kong, China. Maturity: Drink."

The history of the Château
LOUDENNE dates back to 1670, the year in which the château was built and the vineyard established. Château Loudenne is located beside the Gironde estuary and enjoys a remarkable setting. The grounds contain a restored 17th century charterhouse, a stunning landscaped park, several converted outbuildings, and 10,000 m2 (107,639 sq ft) of winery building and wine cellars. Loudenne is the only property in the Médoc to have its own private harbor. Château Loudenne has long been known as the famous “pink château” of the Médoc, and was renowned in the Twenties for its society parties and for the many famous people who stayed there.
