The history of the Château
The first written Meyre Castle, are from 1652. In 1876, the Castle is among the first growths of Avensan in 1895. In 1990 the Château was bought by Mdm. Lenotre, the wife of the famous Parisian pastry chef. It will endeavor to keep the pedigree of wines from Chateau Meyre working with Jean-Luc Pouteau, world's best sommelier in 1983. It will also acquire two ha of vines on the Margaux appellation. Since 1998, the owner is a Thai Mr. Hetrakul. We work since 1995 with Jacques and Eric Boissenot, and after conversion to organic in 2008, the first vintage certified, is 2008.

Food pairings for my wine
The Chef Hervé Frerard created this recipe for the Kingdom of Thailand, during a dinner organized by Château Meyre. Based on a mille-feuille, it creates a jelly made of Optima, the Haut Medoc Chateau Meyre.
