My first harvest in 1984 at Château Chevrol Bel Air (Lalande de Pomerol), a revelation !

The history of the Château
On the highest hill of the « Moulis » appellation between Margaux and Saint-Julien, is the Chateau Lalaudey equipped to combine technology with tradition. Weed killers are banned to reinforce more traditional methods of working the soil. Sensible pest control, thinning, deleafing, zoning, manual harvest, double selection. Fermenting room with 18 thermostatically controlled concrete fermenting tanks. Two cone-shaped wood tanks of 50 hl capacity. Tun room with natural ventilation providing ideal humidity conditions. Particular care is taken in the choice of barrels sourced from 8 different coopers. Advice and support is provided by oenologue Eric Boissenot for fermenting, ageing and blending our wines.
