Pontoise Cabarrus 2010 Rather luscious for a Haut-Médoc – sweet and scented and with lots of fruit. Dry, correct finish.
3 étoiles - Decanter
Pontoise Cabarrus 2009: Dense colour, good grip and length, quite serious fleshy/firm wine

Histoire du château
Pontoise Cabarrus is a bourgeois vineyard situated to Saint Seurin de Cadourne in Haut Médoc. His origin goes back up to the XVIIIth century, time when saint Seurin's wines were classified Premier Crus in the same way as those of Pauillac, Margaux or Saint Julien. It was owned until 1795 by the Baron de BRANE, celebrate owner of MOUTON, become today MOUTON ROTHSCHILD. Jean Valère CABARRUS, owner of the Castle LAGRANGE then purchased it. He decided to give his name to the domain. Pontoise became Pontoise Cabarrus. The estate will then be made famous thanks to beautiful Thérésa CABARRUS, wife of the conventional TALLIEN. Friends of Napoleon and Joséphine, they witnessed in their marriage. In 1859, the CABARRUS sold the domain to the family BOUILLAUD. They had also the Vineyard of BROCHON of the name of the famous family of lawyers Bordeaux region among which one of them, Jean Baptiste BROCHON, lived to Sociando Mallet, the nearby estate. In 1959, Emile TEREYGEOL buys the domain to Fernande BLOIS, descendant of the family BOUILLAUD. Pontoise Cabarrus is still owned by the Tereygeol Family.
