Tasting Notes
16.5 Points - Jancis Robinson
Attractively and classically perfumed. Sleek and polished fruit. Really very smart.
**** ( 4 Stars ) - Decanter
Ripe nose; fleshy fruit; long.
93 Points - James Suckling
Where is that steak? This is brimming with cassis, forest berries, plus hints of wild herbs and smoke. There’s a good deal more structure and character here than most wines from this appellation. The quite fine tannins build nicely through the long finish without ever becoming too much.

One word to describe my wine
Enchanting

The history of the Château
Surrounding a fairy tale 13th century castle in the Médoc, our former Lafite-Rothschild vineyard, Château RAMAFORT has consistently produced award-winning Cru Bourgeois wines. With Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) growing on gravel based soil and Merlot (50%), growing on limestone-clay based soil, our unique terroir delivers rich and complex wines with minimal intervention. With the largest underground cellar in Bordeaux, we stock 10 separate vintages, releasing the wines as they become ready to drink. Today vintages from 2000 to 2005 are being enjoyed in 40 countries around the world.

Food pairings for my wine
To be enjoyed with friends during a long lunch, or a gourmet dinner
