Tasting Notes
90 Points - Robert Parker
Offers up notes of tobacco leaf, cassis, and loamy soil with underbrush nuances. With excellent texture, impressive purity, and medium to full body, this is a rich, over-achieving cru bourgeois to drink over the next decade. A sleeper of the vintage.
89-92 Points - Wine Spectator
Pretty blueberry and flowers on the nose. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long finish. Lots going on. Big wine for the appellation.
***** ( 5 Stars ) - Decanter
A winner from the start. Delicious minerally blackberry fruit that has a perfumed complex meaty, spicy, earthy savoury fruit character and a wonderfully smoky finish. So silky and stylish.

One word to describe my wine
Enchanting

The history of the Château
Sitting proudly on the Médoc’s highest plateau, our former Lafite-Rothschild vineyard, Château LA CARDONNE has consistently produced the finest Cru Bourgeois wines. With Cabernet Sauvignon (45%) and Cabernet Franc (5%), growing on gravel based soil and Merlot (50%), growing on limestone-clay based soil, our unique terroir delivers rich and complex wines with minimal intervention. With the largest underground cellar in Bordeaux, we stock 10 separate vintages, releasing the wines as they become ready to drink. Today vintages from 2008 to 2015 are being enjoyed in over 25 countries around the world.
