Note de dégustation
16/20 - Jancis Robinson
2010 Frans & Liz Roskam's left bank property. Bristling fresh nose - still almost  smells of the fermentation vat but on the palate it is quite velvety and punchy.  Just on the limit of being subsumed by winemaking but has very bright fruit and  great balance. Should be rewarding, if never desperately
16/20 - Jancis Robinson
2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenère, according to the back label. Light, fresh crimson. Candified nose. Light and sweet fruit - really quite simple but attractive fresh, flirtatious fruit. Brisk and clean.
Silver Medal - Concours Bordeaux

Un mot pour définir mon vin
Elegance

Histoire du château
Frans & Liz Roskam took management of Chateau La Lauzette Declercq in 2005 when they found the excellent terroir in the Haut Medoc appellation. Frans Roskam is the 4th generation of Roskam-Brunot winemakers. His family’s passion for winemaking began in 1937 when his grandfather purchased Chateau Cantenac (Saint Emilion Grand Cru) in 1937. Agricultural Engineer from ESA Purpan in Toulouse, he went on to study Enology in Bordeaux. His wife Liz grew up in the United States Illinois. In 2005, she became the first American woman to obtain the French “Diplome National d’Oenologie” from Bordeaux. Together they strive to produce balanced and elegant wines that represent the true Bordeaux “typicity”.
