My first wine memory
A collection of Château d'Arches of the years 50-60 which made the beautifull days of memorable student nights.

One word to describe my wine

The history of the Château
The Belleyme map, on which the Château Peyrabon is displayed dates back to 1766, and remains the oldest written trace we know of regarding this estate.Afterwards, archives allow to piece together a particularly eventful history counting over 19 different owners from 1785 to 1998, among which: François Badimont, who from 1821 undertook important work to give to what was then a mansion its Renaissance architecture by adding four towers, Arnaud Armand Roux, owner from 1865 to his death in 1900, négociant living in Pauillac and extraordinary character, who started proceedings against the 1855 classification because for the Château Peyrabon he could get equivalent prices to classified growths. During this period the Queen Victoria attented a harp concert in the lounge of the Château. The Babeau Family who bought the estate back in 1958 from a mill owner from the North and over two generations rebuilt the vineyard that was destroyed by frost in 1956, as well as the vat house and the cellars, then extended the vineyard in 1977, buying several parcels from its neighbour, the Château Liversan. From the 30th of june 1998, Millésima, a Bordeaux wine merchant leading on the French fine wine mail ordering trade. Patrick Bernard, its Managing Director, invested immediately over 15 million Francs in the vineyards and the sheds and undertook fundamental work to restore the former day's prestige of the wines of Peyrabon.
