Located in Queyrac on a hill named \u201cHighlands of Carcanieux\u201d, its soils is very gravely. From the many stones surrounding the Ch\u00e2teau came from its name carved on the fronton \u201cCarcanieux Les Graves\u201d. Under \"Ch\u00e2teau Carcanieux\" two entities existed for a long time : Ch\u00e2teau Carcanieux \"Les Graves\" and Ch\u00e2teau Carcanieux \"Les Lattes\", which the origins and the anteriority cannot be disputed beacause of their quotation since 1868 in \"Bordeaux et ses Vins\" by Cocks and F\u00e9ret.
